We have a page dedicated for that question.  Please click here to view that page.

  • Why do you retain possision of my item during the auction?

There are a number of reason why we must take possession of your item; however the primary reason is this:

  • After the digital photos are taken, we professionally package your item and make it ship-ready. As soon as the auction is over and someone successfully purchases your item, we ship the item out within 24 business hours. When purchases made using eBay, the buyer expects the item to be received in a very timely fashion. Having your item in our inventory and ready to ship, we can quickly expedite the transaction to prevent any issues.

TOP

  • Who is responsible for the shipping charges?

Shipping charges are paid by the winner of your item’s auction. The shipping fee is listed in the auction and all potential bidders are aware of the cost before they bid on your item. This is standard practice in the eBay community.

  • How do you keep my item seperated from someone else’s identical item?

All items brought into our store to be placed in an auction is ‘inventoried’. When you complete the form listing the details about you item (along with your personal contact information), this form will have a bar-code number at the top. This number is a unique number which is then assigned to your item. We print a bar-code label and affix that to your item. All of our internal processing is done by that unique number. When your item is packaged for shipping, the same unique bar-code number is clearly marked on the outside of the box. We take great pride in our entire process and we feel this method will prevent any items being crossed or mixed-up with someone else’s item. You will also receive a copy of the form you completed which will have the same bar-code number clearly displayed for your records.

  • Why must I pay a down payment and what does this cover?
For each item which is posted to an auction, eBay charges fees for that posting. The fees vary depending upon the type of listing. These fees are charged to us regardless if an item sells or not.
We also handle the packaging of your item. Each item is packed in a professional shipping box using bubble wrap, ‘popcorn’  filler, etc.
The down payment covers those fees & cost which are associated with the processing of your item. This is NOT an additional fee that we charge our customers! This percentage of our commission. To better understand the break-down, we have a chart which shows examples. Please click here to view this chart.

  • Are there additional charges for multiple picutres to be listed in the auction?

No! We have excellent technical company who designed and setup our company’s network. We have a dedicated high-speed connection to the Internet with our own, in-house servers in which all of our digital high-resolution pictures are stored. With this type of network setup, we have the ability to display multiple pictures in your auction on eBay WITHOUT having to charge additonal fees for each picture.

  • What is a RESERVE PRICE and how does it work?

This would be a MINIMUM price you are willing to sell your item for. For example, let’s say you bring in an item for auction. Of course, you want to get the highest bid possible, but suppose you will not sell it for any bids lower then $125.00.  If the bids reach $125.00, then your item will sell successfully. However, if at the ending time of the auction, the highest bid was only $114.00, then your item did NOT sale and there is no winning bidder (or buyer). Please click here to view what choices you have if a reserve price is not met.

  • What type of enhancements can be added to my auction listing?

There are a number of different listing enhancements that can be applied to any auction. You can choose to add one or more to your listing. Each enhancement (or upgrade) has an additional fee which are listed below:

  • BOLD TITLE LISTING - $1.50
    • The title of your auction can be listed in BOLD print. This will help your listing become more visible on the listing pages.
  • Highlight Title Listing - $6.00
    • The title of your auction can have a colored highlighting. This will help your listing become even more visible. Commonly used in conjunction with the BOLD enhancement.
  • Item Subtitle - $1.00
    • This is a second line (or title) of information about your listing. The normal title line can only be a maximum of 80 characters. Adding this line will allow more details to be listed about the item in the listing page view on eBay.
  • Gallery Featured - $20.95
    • With this enhancement, your listing would be displayed at the top of the search pages before all the other general listings.  This does NOT guarantee that your listing will be listed first. It simply places your listing before other GENERAL, NON-GALLERY FEATURED listings.
  • 10-Day Duration - $0.50
    • This is the longest duration available for any auction. This would give your item more exposure by being listed for a longer period of time.
  • Reserved Price - $2.00 (only charged if item does NOT sale)
    • This would be a MINIMUM price you are willing to sell your item for.
  • Buy-It-Now - $0.10
    • This would allow a bidder to simply purchase your item immediately without having to bid or wait for the auction to end in the normal time frame. This option is valid until someone place the first bid on your auction. Once a bid is place (regardless if a reserve price is met or not), the But-It-Now option is no longer available. If you have a certain price in mind you want for your auction, this may be an option you wish to use. This is commonly used in conjunction with RESERVE PRICE setting.
  • Double Category Listing - $5.00 + fees for additional enhancements
    • You can choose to have your item listed in two (2) different categories at the same time. Bidders search for items primarily by categories. Having your item listed in two categories gives your item double exposure.

  • When will my auction be posted?

We normally post auctions daily at 11:00pm Eastern Time. The auction would end exactly 7 days (168 hours) from the time it was posted (unless a 10-day auction enhancement was chosen, then it would be exactly 240 hours from posting time). We post at 11:00pm Eastern Time so that anywhere in the US, it is after business hours when potential bidders have the opportunity to place final bids on your item before the auction ends. You can expect your auction to be posted within 2 business days after your item is inventoried and proccessed.

  • I noticed an error in my auction’s listing. How will this be resolved?

As we strive hard to post auctions accurately, there may be a time when an issue is discovered and the information is not correct in the listing.

If the error was on our part, we will correct the issue as soon as possible after it is brought to our attention.

If the error is on the customer’s part; meaning they listed the details about the item incorrectly on the form, gave false information, etc., the issue will be corrected, however there will a processing fee due (dependent upon the nature and steps involved to correct the issue).

  • My item sold, when will I receive my check and how much?

Congratulations! Your item successfully was sold to the highest bidder! The winning bidder (the buyer) has 3 business days to pay for the item. Once we receive the notification that the item was paid for in full, we’ll ship the item out to the buyer within one business day. At the end of the week in which we receive payment for your item, your check will be mailed to you.

How much your check will be depends on a number of variables. We have created a chart to use as an example for a BASIC auction listing.

TOP

  • My item did not sell. What are my options?

You can choose to have your item re-listed (either immediately, or wait for any period up to 30 days), or may choose to simply pick up your item from our store.
